Invisibility potions work similar to the cloak featured in the Harry Potter books and films. After crafting the magical potion, players are tasked with meeting an NPC and consuming the concoction.

Hogwarts Legacy – How to Drink an Invisibility Potion

The method used for how to drink an invisibility potion in Hogwarts Legacy is the same for all other types of potions. See below for how to do so on your system.

PlayStation/Xbox

  1. Hold L1/LB on your controller to open the Potions wheel.
  2. Move the right analog stick towards the Invisibility potion, then release L1/LB.
  3. This will equip the potion. Press L1/LB again to drink the potion.

PC

  1. Press and hold the TAB key to open your Potions wheel.
  2. Hover the mouse cursor over the Invisibility potion, then release the TAB key.
  3. This will equip the potion. Press the TAB key again to drink the potion.

After consuming an Invisibility potion, your character will remain hidden from view for about 4 seconds before the effects wear off. This item can be used in combat as well as out of combat for when you need stealth on your side.

How to Get an Invisibility Potion in Hogwarts Legacy

Invisibility potions can be either crafted with a recipe or purchased from a vendor.

Both the crafting recipe and the potion itself can be purchased from J. Pippin’s Potions Shop in Hogsmeade. Although a single potion bottle costs 500 Galleons, the recipe costs 800 Galleons.

To craft an Invisibility potion, you will need to acquire the following ingredients:

  • 1x Leaping Toadstool Caps
  • 1x Knotgrass Sprig
  • 1x Troll Bogeys
