Throughout your journey in Hogwarts Legacy, there are many locks found on doors that you will discover through the use of Revelio. These locked doors often contain important passageways, collectibles, and valuable equipment you couldn’t find elsewhere.

How to unlock Alohomora spell
The Alohomora spell grants a wizard or witch the power to open locks in Hogwarts Legacy. It is rewarded to the player for completion of the main quest called The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament.
The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament is the twenty-second main quest in Hogwarts Legacy, and has the player meeting with Gladwin Moon to retrieve lost Demiguise Statues.
Gladwin Moon is found near the Reception Hall of Hogwarts Castle, close to the Moving Staircase. It is here that he will ask you to begin retrieving Demiguise Moon Statues hidden throughout the world. Be sure to note that Demiguise Moon Statues can only be retrieved at night.
After retrieving two statues for Gladwin Moon, he will teach you Alohomora. This will grant you the ability to open Level I locks. As you retrieve more Demiguise Moon Statues, Gladwin will eventually teach you how to open Level II and, finally, Level III locks.
As Alohomora is an Essential Spell, it will remain equipped without the need for a Spell Slot.
How to use Alohomora
In order to use the Alohomora spell, you need to approach and interact with a locked door or chest to cast the charm. This triggers a lockpicking puzzle you need to complete in order to open the door.
To successfully complete the puzzle, simply rotate the outer and inner gears until the smaller gears in the right-hand corner corresponding to the same color rotate. A shiny bright light will appear, indicating you have made the correct rotation. Wait for a second or two in the right position, and the lock will open.
