1) Launch the game, creating a new save profile.

2) Close the game, and open Windows File Explorer, then locate the folder for Halo. Visit Halo > profile > All_Levels > checkpoints.

3) Create a new text file in the checkpoints directory, entering the following:

0,0,0
0,0,0
0,0,0

4) Save the text file using the name checkpoint0.sav.

5) Create a second text file in the same directory named checkpoint1.sav.

1,0,0
0,0,0
0,0,0

6) Repeat the above step until you have 10 files in total, named checkpoint0.savcheckpoint9.sav. Change the first number in the code in each file to unlock a different level. For instance, unlocking the last level requires you to enter:

9,0,0
0,0,0
0,0,0

7) Launch the game and load your save to start the Campaign with all levels unlocked.

Easter Eggs

Multiplayer Menu Secrets

On the title screen, choose Multiplayer, then hover the cursor over the Gametypes option. There are two hidden messages on the Master Chief’s MJOLNIR Armor. The breastplate reads “All your bases are belong to us”, a reference to the NES game Zero Wing. The thigh pad reads “Sometimes I give myself the creeps/sometimes my mind plays tricks on me”, a reference to the Green Day song Basket Case.

The Talking Grunt

In the final level, after Echo 419 gets shot down, you will come across a path with several tunnels. Take the right tunnel, then an additional right at the first corridor you see. Here you will find a talking Grunt.

Secret Ending

Complete the Campaign on Legendary difficulty in order to unlock the alternate extended ending.
