We may be starting to understand when fans can expect the release of the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI, and if you believed it was coming on the tenth anniversary of its predecessor (GTA V), it isn’t.
According to Tez2, a reputable leaker of GTA information, the game is currently targeting a launch for holiday 2024. Still, the leaker claims that the general release window has been pushed back several times in the past few years and that they would not be surprised to see it be delayed into 2025.

Furthermore, Tez2 has also speculated that some of the content intended for the base game could be shelved for DLC in order to release the game sooner. This would represent a substantial departure from GTA V, which continues to see new content coming to the online multiplayer side of things, but no new single-player content after the initial release.
There is good faith on behalf of Insider Gaming that this information falls in line with its own reports, and we’ll likely be getting official information on the project from developer Rockstar Games before the end of 2023.
