At this year’s Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival, Square Enix stated that the popular MMO will be coming to Xbox consoles in Spring 2024.
Director and producer Yoshi-P made the announcement alongside Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer on stage. It will be released for Xbox Series X|S with support for 4K but no version for previous-gen consoles. Furthermore, the game will be exclusively digital and have fast loading times.
There is an upcoming open beta that will be available during patch 6.5x when that comes out early next year. As of the time of this writing, there is no mention of the game being made available on Xbox Game Pass.

In addition to the Xbox version, Square Enix also unveiled the game’s next expansion, Dawntrail, is coming Summer 2024. The latest expansion, Endwalker, came out in December 2021.
