How to activate Prime Mode
Prime Mode is activated by pressing and holding the Attack button to unleash a sequence of three consecutive strikes. It enhances the power of Berserk status. You can find these skills in Materia or Weapons. If certain equipment has a skill equipped by a specific character, you can execute the skill in battle after the ATB gauge has been charged to a particular number.
Where to get the Umbral Blade weapon
Prime Mode requires Cloud to equip the Umbral Blade weapon. During Chapter 8 Main Scenario Quest “Meeting Your Mount”, you can obtain it by unlocking the wooden Treasure Chest illuminated with purple lights at the front entrance of Solenitude Manor in the Dustbowl.
