In this guide, you will learn the best tips and tricks on how to farm AP while playing Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. AP is necessary to level up Weapon Skills, Weapon Abilities, and improve Materia.
AP, or “Ability Points”, are accumulated with every battle. If you have enough AP, you can improve Materia, which enhances the potency of a spell. In other words, when you level up a piece of Materia, you can typically cast a higher-level version of the same spell by spending more MP.

Chapter 12 – Cliffside Storehouse (Gongaga)
Farming AP in general in FF7 Rebirth is best done during Chapter 12 because you can fast-travel between the different areas with a consistent use of all seven playable characters. Ensure that your party members have as many Materia slots as possible, and ensure they are all equipped with the AP Up Materia.
Fast-travel to the Cliffside Storehouse in the southern region of Gongaga. Cast Blizzaga on the two Gagighandis and Chimera Mimic there. Turn and round south into the forest. Head toward the local Moogle Emporium to fight a Grandhorn with Fira, then visit the southeast to fight two more Grandhorns with Fira.
After, fast travel to another region and back to repeat the process.
