The 1.07 update for developer FromSoftware’s Elden Ring brings a massive overhaul to the core functionality of the combat system. This addresses balance issues for single-player PvE combat and multiplayer PvP combat. It’s being achieved through separate scaling of the damage from weapons, skills, incantations, and spells.
According to the official patch notes, this feature will allow players to continue enjoying their personal builds in single-player without fear of getting nerfed.

Before, the game fixed key loadouts that fans used to defeat some of the hardest bosses–only to discover that the build was nerfed because of the way they functioned in PvP. Now the balance is separate, similar to how the power of Ashes of War was reduced.
Fans immediately began to datamine the changes on PC and came across references to two new maps within the update files. These have been identified as M45 and M20. While M20 has identical numbering to legacy dungeons, M45 is all new. This suggests that the groundwork is being laid for whatever is potentially coming as DLC.
We may also be getting more customization options for our characters down the line as well.
However, the best discovery so far includes the upcoming addition of colosseums. Players of Elden Ring know that the map is littered with unreachable colosseums. Yet just soon after the game was released, the modding community discovered an exploit that allowed them to clip inside to restore the previously unknown content.
With the update for October 2022, the colosseums have seen updates behind the scenes. It appears as though we will be getting a new legacy dungeon, according to data miners.
Regardless of the leaks, we will eventually know what is to come.
