Despite past claims that he would not return after Hobbs & Shaw (2019), Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson confirms his return for a new Fast & Furious film.
According to an article from The Hollywood Reporter, Johnson is set to produce the next untitled project in the Fast Saga with Vin Diesel. Chris Morgan, a longtime writer on the series going back to Tokyo Drift (2006), will also serve as producer.

In the past, Johnson played the role of Luke Hobbs in the Fast & Furious series, a federal agent working for the Diplomatic Security Service.
The upcoming film will not be a sequel to Fast X (2023) or Hobbs & Shaw (2019). Rather, it will serve as a story taking place between X and 11.
Although Johnson is coming back to reprise his role, there’s been no word on Vin Diesel to star again as Dom. There’s been a bit of drama between the two actors over the past few years, to the point that Johnson denied he would ever return to the franchise after Hobbs & Shaw.
