Fans of the Dragon Age series, BioWare’s dark fantasy epic, can rejoice as Netflix has unveiled the first images and trailer for Dragon Age: Absolution. Coming December 9, 2022, this series includes six episodes that are 30 minutes long each. The new trailer provides greater insight into the story.
From BioWare and Red Dog Culture House, the debut trailer introduces us to an elven mercenary named Miriam (Kimberly Brooks), a former slave who escapes to become a hero. She bands together with a group of adventurers on a quest to steal a corrupt artifact infused with blood magic.
According to the official synopsis, “When a heist against the most powerful man in Tevinter goes south, an elven mercenary named Miriam (Kimberly Brooks) is forced into a desperate fight for survival. Now, to save herself and her friends, Miriam will have to confront the tragic past she’s spent a lifetime trying to escape.”
The series cast includes well-known voices from major games and series, including Critical Role’s Matthew Mercer as Fairbanks, Life Is Strange’s Ashly Burch as Hira, Ghost of Tsushima’s Sumalee Montano, Futurama’s Phil LaMarr as Rolan, etc.
Production staff members include director Ki-Yong Bae (The Legend of Korra), writer Mae Catt (Young Justice), Tim Sheridan (Masters of the Universe: Revelation), and Mairghread Scott (Guardians of the Galaxy).

Dragon Age debuted in 2009 with the release of Dragon Age: Origins, a fantasy RPG developed by BioWare and published by EA. This game sees the player taking on one of three different classes as a member of the Grey Wardens in a classic war of good versus evil.
To this date, there are three titles in the franchise, including Origins, Dragon Age II, and Inquisition.
Everyone eagerly awaits the release of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, the fourth entry set to come out in 2023.
