Ursula is the Sea Witch antagonist of The Little Mermaid. She is encountered very early on in one of the first biomes. Initially, she is trapped within a mysterious cave.
How to Reach Ursula in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Players must first unlock Dazzle Beach, a biome to the east of Peaceful Meadows. This area becomes accessible once players complete the quest “Friendship Is Everything” and give Merlin 1,000 Dreamlight. Once the wizard has cleared away the thorns blocking the path, adventurers are free to explore the sandy shores.
Once players visit the cave in which Ursula is imprisoned, they will acquire the story quest “With Great Power”.
Ursula initially tasks the player with retrieving the Orb of Power. This is a quest item stored away in a pool within the Mystical Cave, found close to where Ursula is imprisoned. She gives players a Crystal that can be used to open the entrance to the Mystical Cave. Once inside, Dreamers encounter three puzzles known as Magic Gates. These gates need to be removed to reach the Orb of Power.
How to Free Ursula in Disney Dreamlight Valley
There are three magic gates that players need to remove in order to reach the Orb of Power in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
- To open the first magic gate, place three Gems into the palms of the Statues, matching the Gems with the colors of the Statues.
- To open the second magic gate, plant a set of specific Seeds into the patch of soil found at the base of the gate’s three Statues.
- To open the third magic gate, use the crops planted at the second magic gate to cook a dish. Eat the dish to remove the gate.
After passing the three gates, fish the Orb of Power out of the pool inside the cave and return it to the Pillar in the Valley. Speak with Ursula and Merlin one final time to complete the quest “With Great Power” and unlock Ursula.
The Sea Witch can be found swimming in Dazzle Beach’s ocean or within the ponds of other biomes, such as the Glade of Trust and the Peaceful Meadows. To level up her Friendship and build her house, speak with her again to start the quest entitled “Lair Sweet Lair.”
