Players can unlock Jack Skellington by completing the free quest “Something Comes A’Knocking“, which unlocks upon booting up the game after installing the latest update, provided you have unlocked the Forgotten Lands biome.

Here is how to complete the quests necessary to finish Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Find The Four Matryoshka Dolls
There are four matryoshka dolls scattered around Dreamlight Valley, appearing in random locations in any biome in the game. However, one will almost always appear somewhere in the Plaza to start you out.
The first Matryoshka Doll will be found in the Plaza. Some of the locations where it has been known to show up include: just outside the player’s House, near the stairs leading to the Peaceful Meadow, directly east of the fountain, and either in front of or behind Scrooge McDuck’s Store. It is possible that more than one Matryoshka Doll will be in the Plaza, but there will always be at least one there.
The second, third, and fourth Matryoshka Dolls can be found in any of the following biomes.
- Dazzle Beach
- Forest of Valor
- Frosted Heights
- Glade of Trust
- Peaceful Meadow
- Sunlit Plateau
While the locations of these Matryoshka Dolls are random, there are several locations in which they are more likely to appear than others. In general, they appear near landmarks and near the staircases and pathways that connect the various biomes to one another.
Put The Matryoshka Dolls In The Pumpkin Tree
Once you have found at least one matryoshka doll, speak to Merlin, who suggests you put them somewhere in the Forgotten Lands.
Head to the Forgotten Lands to find a tall, thin tree with ribbed bark and the outline of a pumpkin on it. Interact with the tree and place each of the matryoshka dolls inside them. With each doll, the pumpkin will start to regain its orange color.
Once the fourth matryoshka doll has been placed, Jack Skellington will appear in the Dreamlight Valley. Place his House anywhere in the Valley and pay Scrooge McDuck 5000 Star Coins to construct it.
Speak to Jack one last time to officially complete the quest, “Something Comes A’Knocking” and welcome him as a new Villager. Players will be able to then complete his first Friendship Quest, entitled “The Pumpkin King Returns.”
