In this guide, you will learn how to make leaf rune and staff while playing Diablo II: Resurrected.
How to Make a Leaf Rune & Staff in Diablo II: Resurrected
The Leaf is widely agreed to be one of the most useful Rune Words for starters in Diablo II: Resurrected, and with the Leaf Staff, you will be able to sail through the first two difficulties quite easily.
Required Items to Get a Leaf
In order to make a Leaf in Diablo II: Resurrected, you will first need these items:
- Ral Rune
- Tir Rune
Ral Rune and Tir Rune can be easily farmed via The Countess in Act 1. As for the Nonmagic Staff with two empty sockets, you can simply buy it from Akara in Act 1.
Now that you have all of these items, you should place both the Runes into the staff. Doing so will give you the Leaf Rune Word. Now, let us see the effects that you will get with the Leaf Rune.
Leaf Rune Effects
- +3 Fire Skills
- Extra 5 – 30 Fire Damage
- +3 Fire Bolt (only for the Sorceress)
- +3 Warmth (only for the Sorceress)
- +2 for Mana after each kill you make
- +3 Inferno (only for the Sorceress)
- +2 – 198 for your defense (this depends on the level of your character)
- +33% Cold Resist
By adding the Leaf to staff you will be able to gain all of the attributes mentioned above. The +3 that you receive with the Fire Skills attribute proves to be quite an advantageous staff for the likes of the Assassin, Druid, and Sorceress classes in the game.
Finding the Best Staff in Diablo II: Resurrected
The Leaf is not a significant rune in the game, and therefore neither is the staff. It’s recommended that you look for a staff that better complements your current build. Doing so will help you optimize your build, while also helping you get the most out of it.
For example, if you have a Fireball Sorceress, you should look for a two-socket staff that is already loaded with extra Fire Ball skill statistics. You can find a decent staff to be used with a Leaf by simply refreshing Akara’s inventory. With that being said, you should not have to fret about what staff you use for this Rune, considering the fact that you will not be using the Staff throughout the game.
Diablo II: Resurrected is an action role-playing game developed by Blizzard Entertainment and initially released in 2021 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
