In this guide, you will learn how to get Necrochasm while playing Destiny 2.
The reintroduction of the Crota’s End raid from Destiny 1 brings many nostalgic elements, including the renowned Necrochasm, an Exotic auto rifle. Rather than luck this time around, acquiring Necrochasm merely depends on a Guardian’s ability to take down Crota. This rewards players with a quest, setting them on the path towards the gun.
How to Start the Necrochasm Quest
Once players defeat Crota for the first time, they will loot an item called Crota’s discarded sword. It is a guaranteed drop from the vendor menu and does not require currency to acquire.
After players have accepted the quest, they will receive an auto rifle called Husk of the Pit. This weapon is not anything special, but it is necessary to eventually earn the Necrochasm.
How to Use the Husk of the Pit
Players must eliminate Hive using the Husk of the Pit, with the quest showing a progress bar of 0/100. This does not necessarily mean that players need to kill 100 Hive enemies, as defeating combatants within the Crota’s End raid contributes more progress. Players can also farm Altars of Sorrow on the Moon to easily fill the progress bar, as it contains tons of Hive.
After filling the progress bar by killing Hive using the Husk of the Pit, the weapon transforms into the Eidolon Ally auto rifle.
Collect Essence of the Oversoul
Upon acquiring the Eidolon Ally, players need to journey back into Crota’s End to acquire Essence of the Oversoul. This material is found sporadically throughout. However, if players fulfill specific challenges and Triumphs related to the content, they can also acquire Essence of the Oversoul.
Players must procure 20 Essences to complete the quest.
Destiny 2 is a first-person shooter developed by Bungie and initially released in 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
