How to Unlock Excision in Destiny 2
Excision is a 12-player activity with its own array of challenging activities. There are several core requirements that must be met prior to unlocking Excision.
Complete The Final Shape Campaign
The first requirement to access Excision is to complete The Final Shape campaign. This can be done on either difficulty setting, so choose the one that best suits your playstyle and preferences. The campaign is an essential part of the storyline and completing it is your first step toward unlocking Excision.
Complete the Exotic Quest “Wild Card”
Once you have completed The Final Shape campaign, you will gain access to the Exotic Quest called “Wild Card”. Completing this quest is the second requirement. The Wild Card quest is challenging but rewarding, and it’s necessary to progress toward unlocking the Excision activity.
How to Access Excision in Destiny 2
After meeting the above requirements, you are ready to find and launch Excision. First, open your destination map in Destiny 2 and navigate to the Pale Heart area.
Next, scroll all the way to the right, next to the new raid, Salvation’s Edge. You should see Excision, the new 12-player activity, listed here. If you do not see Excision, this indicates that you have not yet met the two core requirements. Ensure you have completed both The Final Shape campaign and the Exotic Quest Wild Card before trying again.
