Cyberpunk 2077 Sequel Could Be First Or Third Person

cyberpunk 2077 sequel could be first or third person

The sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 remains at the “conceptual design level”, according to CD Projekt Red Chief Creative Officer Adam Badowski. The game will be made by “veterans” who worked on the original and its expansion, Phantom Liberty.

During an Investor Day presentation, Quest Director Pawel Sasko said the company does not regret making Cyberpunk 2077 a first-person exclusive game unlike its Witcher franchise, but the sequel could be either first or third-person.

CD Projekt Red’s Boston and Vancouver teams in North America are leading development on the new Cyberpunk game. However, some folks at the company’s home headquarters in Poland will also contribute to development.

At the time of the release of Cyberpunk 2077 in 2020, the game was marred with technical issues and other problems. Fortunately, over the years, CD Projekt Red took great care to patch and improve it, and it’s now in a state worthy to play. What’s more, the Phantom Liberty expansion has been met with critical appraisal and adds a ton of new content.

The sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 is still far away, as the company is currently focused on a new entry in the Witcher series, as confirmed by CD Projekt Red’s Long-term Product Outlook.
