In an ongoing effort to curb the cutthroat competition from the streaming business, Crunchyroll is now offering a direct bundle with Amazon Prime Video. This is similar behavior to other platforms merging services, like Disney+ and Hulu.
This bundle, known as the Crunchyroll Prime Video add-on channel offers the following packages as of the time of this post:
- Fan plan: $8/month
- Mega Fan plan: $10/month
While both memberships offer a 7-day free trial, the Mega Fan option allows you to download videos to watch offline. Furthermore, you can use the free trial to check out beloved series like Spy x Family, Chainsaw Man, and more.
In terms of expense, the Amazon Prime Crunchyroll membership costs the same as if you were paying for Crunchyroll Premium. However, there are certain differences worth mentioning.
Crunchyroll Premium offers access to the digital manga library, which you don’t get through Amazon Prime. In addition, Crunchyroll Premium’s $10/month Mega Fan and $15/month Ultimate Fan subs include discount coupons and other exclusive deals on the online store.
