The new event for Genshin Impact domains lets players make their own obstacle courses, collect coins, and challenge friends.
In laymen’s terms, players have the chance to challenge their friends with a custom level designer whose courses reflect what could be designed in Super Mario Maker.
What Are Genshin Impact Domains?
You can think of domains like dungeons. They are special instances where players can travel and repeatedly fight mobs of enemies in an enclosed space to farm valuable rewards. These include, but are not limited to:
- Artifacts
- Character Level Ascension Materials
- Talent Ascension Materials
- Weapon Ascension Materials
Divine Ingenuity
Begin the new brief questline for the event, Divine Ingenuity, and tackle five of miHoYo’s preset levels. Once that’s finished, players can gain access to creating their own Custom Domains.

Along with various terrain pieces, players can populate a level (course) with a series of wind currents, floor traps that appear and disappear, and other fragile platforms. Furthermore, there are key traps that can be placed to either debuff a participant’s stats or reduce the health of the runner if caught inside.
Event Features and Rules
Of course, not everything is out to harm, as many blessings exist as well. For instance, Leaping Boon provides the ability to jump extra hide, while Striding Boon greatly increases speed for a small period of time.
Players should not get too far ahead of themselves, however, as a Custom Domain cannot be uploaded for others to try unless they have completed the track themselves.
The Divine Ingenuity event runs for a limited time between March 2 to March 21. Seeing the overwhelmingly positive response, we hope that it becomes a permanent feature.
