Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time – Cheats & Unlockables

crash bandicoot 4: it's about time cheats and unlockables

Here are all the guides, tips, and strategies to enjoy playing Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time with cheats and unlockables.

All Colored Gem Locations

Search the indicated location and/or complete the indicated task to get the corresponding-colored gem. There are a total of four colored gems in Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time.

Blue Gem

Reach the end of the “Draggin’ On” level without breaking any of the crates. You cannot touch any crates —- even the checkpoints. You can use the bonus room as a sneaky checkpoint halfway through the level.

Green Gem

During the hamster cage chase in the “Hit The Road” level, you will escape from the huge machine and reach a checkpoint. In this room, attack the trashcan to the left to make a remote controller appear. Repeatedly spin attack the controller. Each time you hit it, the remote-controlled car will drive closer to the green nitro crate. Keep hitting the controller until the car crashes into the nitro.

Red Gem

In the “N. Sanity Peak” level, go past the bonus portal and up towards the door. Before going through the door, there is a map on the right side of the wall. Follow the pointers on the nine platforms to make the red gem spawn. Start at the front-left, and go right, right, up, up, left, left, down, right.

All Hidden Gem Locations

Search the indicated locations to find all 76 hidden gems (38 normal hidden gems and 38 N.Verted hidden gems) in Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. Finding all hidden gems is needed for the 106% ending and unlocks the “King of Bling” and “gnilB fo gniK” trophies. Each level can be played in Normal mode and later in N.Verted mode. There is one hidden gem per level (except boss levels, as those do not contain any).

Finding enough gems per level also unlocks a new character skin. Simply collect the hidden gem crystal and complete the level afterward to make it count. If you die after collecting the gem, it will still be with you and there is no need to collect it again. This video guide goes through all 38 Normal levels first and then the 38 N.Verted levels for a second playthrough. Additionally, this is in the order of the in-game level select. The actual unlock order of the levels is slightly different when you first play through the game.

Triple Spin Move

Complete the game to unlock the Triple Spin move. To use it, press [Attack/Spin] three times in a row while walking forward. You must press it when the spin animation is about to finish. Leave a one-second delay between each button press. Do not press the buttons too quickly.
