Microsoft is bringing more legacy Xbox titles back online, with support for multiplayer, matchmaking, and additional servers. The two biggest franchises that have made a return so far include Call of Duty and Gears of War.

Backend changes have now allowed titles from the Xbox 360 era to work with matchmaking, bringing back thousands of players in droves.
While old Gears of War games have been a hit or miss in recent times with respect to online play, users are now reporting that more and more servers are appearing when they attempt to join matchmaking.
Hopefully, this means we’ll see the resurrection of classic Xbox Live titles like Conker: Live & Reloaded and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.
