Clash of Clans and Clash Royale Are Now Playable On PC

Two of the biggest mobile games of all time, Clash of Clans and Clash Royale have finally come out on PC thanks to Google Play.

These PC ports are identical to their original mobile versions. What’s more, all future updates made to mobile will also be coming to these new PC releases. The games control just like they do on mobile devices, and players can substitute the mouse as a finger for tap controls.

More and more mobile game studios are starting to offer the PC platform as an alternative for people to experience titles, in addition to support for cross-progression on the same account. Another recent example includes Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, which Square Enix announced will receive a PC release down the line. Others like Hearthstone have always been available on PC/mobile.

Those who have a Supercell ID will be able to log in to the same account on the PC version and pick up right where they left off. What’s more, they can enjoy the experience with friends on mobile via cross-play. Of course, for security reasons, no single account can be logged in on mobile and PC simultaneously.

The PC release of Clash of Clans and Clash Royale comes with an additional update for the Google Play Games Beta client running them. Google has announced improved search for included games as well as 4K resolution support. Furthermore, the client will support controllers, including the standard Xbox controller and PS5 DualSense.

You can download the Google Play Games Beta client now on the official Google Play website. Once installed, you can download Clash of Clans and Clash Royale through the client.
