Rename Your Characters
After downing the Blackbird, retrieving your time machine, and either defeating Magus for the second time or recruiting him, return to the Prehistoric era (65,000,000 BC), go to the Laruba Ruin, then speak to the Nu there. You can rename the lead character in your party, so switch in who you want.
What’s more, to rename your time machine, go to the Keeper’s Dome in 2300 AD and access the computer there.

Glitches / Exploits
Infinite Power Tabs
When on the black omen, attack the Tubster, and have Aayla use Charm on it. Escape, then go back through the door you came in and repeat.
Infinite Shelters
There is a bush near the exit of the Guardia Forest that will move, when you try to communicate with it a strange creature will run out dropping a free shelter.
Pick it up, then leave the forest towards the castle. Immediately go back into the forest where the bush was, and then you will be able to interact with it again to get another free shelter. Keep repeating this to be able to recover many times or sell them for 75 gold each.
Infinite Strength Capsules
When on the black omen, attack the Blubber Hulk, and have Aayla use Charm on it. Escape, then go back through the door you came in and repeat.
Monster Training – Item Duplication
Visit the Arena of Ages, and send your monster out for training until it returns with an item. Once it comes back, you will see the monster’s status window showing the item that it retrieved.
Without closing the window, press the A button to select the option “Train Monster”, then press it a second time to be greeted by the Consumables item screen. Press the B button once to return back to the original screen. This duplicates the item that the monster retrieved. You can continue to do this until you get 99 of the item.
Use Items on Enemies
Equip the Green Dream accessory on a character before the battle. Have this character die with a nearly full ATB bar along with the rest of the party.
The character will be revived by the Green Dream. Quickly jump into the item menu, select an item, and then use it on an enemy (the game believes all party members are dead).
This exploit can be used to defeat the final two forms of Lavos using Elixirs because Elixirs roll the boss’s health above the maximum allowed amount.
Chrono Trigger is a role-playing game developed by Square and initially released in 1995 for the Super Nintendo (SNES). It was later ported to PlayStation 1 in 1999, Nintendo DS in 2008, iOS and Android in 2011, and PC in 2018.
