Here are all the guides, tips, and strategies to enjoy playing Tomb Raider (2013) with cheats and unlockables. Easy XP and Salvage This trick allows you to earn 10,000 XP and 2,000 salvage or more approximately every 5 minutes. It can be done solo or with other players. At the Multiplayer menu, create a private match. Select Rescue mode, and choose the Beach map. Select the Survivor team, then customize your Loadouts. Choose the top option, and when you are at a high enough level, select “Second Wind” as your Offensive Skill. Leave the Survival Skill set to “Advanced Looting”. Exit the Loadouts screen, and select “Match Options”. Change the “Time Limit” to any time desired. This method usually takes 8-10 minutes to complete. Set the “Medkits To Retrieve” option to “20”. Start the match. Then, retrieve the medkits scattered randomly around the map as quickly as possible. Even though the medkits spawn randomly, there are some locations where the medkits will always appear. Once you appear on the map, there will be a circle near the spawn point where medkits are dropped off. A white waypoint icon will appear off in the distance showing where the medkit is located. Simply sprint to each waypoint, and collect the medkits as they appear, then return them to the drop-off point. On the way to each of the medkits, you can stop and collect salvage. The salvage respawns pretty quickly after collecting it. Keep doing this until the match ends. You can then start a new match, and repeat the process. Note: You can quit in between rounds and will still retain all XP and salvage you have obtained. Secret Tomb Locations and Solutions Search the indicated locations to find all seven optional tombs. Solve the puzzle in each tomb using the indicated solution to get a reward for each tomb completed. Complete all seven optional tombs to get the “Intellectually Superior” achievement. Tomb of the Unworthy Location: Travel to the Mountain Village once you have obtained the Climbing Axe, and return to the Tomb Of The Unworthy camp at the base of the waterfall (right before the Climbing Axe is required to progress further). Then, use the axe to enter the tomb. Solution: To solve the puzzle in the tomb, you must first light the torch. Use the pot to light it, or use your flint if you have acquired it. Then, burn the bodies on the mesh platform, and push off the extra weight nearby to allow the lift to rise up enough for Lara to climb to the top and reach the treasure chest. Halls Of Ascension Tomb Location: Travel to the Overlook camp in the Mountain Village, where Lara went to find the rescue plane’s smoke signal, once you have the rope arrows and Firestarter flint. Use a rope arrow to reach the north ledge to follow the upper route. Use a second rope arrow to reach the tomb entrance. Solution: To solve this puzzle, first look around the room. There is an open window on the left, and a platform hanging by ropes in the center. Start by closing the shutters on the left with the crank, then turn the crank in the center to raise the platform. The shutters on the left will slowly open. Then, quickly run onto the platform once it has been raised, and wait for the second shutter to open. Once it opens, a strong gust of wind will blow the platform right and high. On the right, a flat wooden board will appear for Lara to jump to and hang on from the ledge. Move along the ledges to reach a long hallway with the treasure chest at the end. Reward: Mountain Village Relic Map Well of Tears Location: Travel to the Helicopter Hill camp in Shantytown. You will need a rope arrow to pull open the tomb entrance and drop in. Travel through the town to reach a building painted with white murals and protected with boobytraps. Destroy the floor to drop into a cave below, which leads down a straight path to the tomb. Solution: Inside the tomb, there is a hanging platform above. Collect the yellow canisters one by one, and throw them onto the platform to lower them. Once it is on the ground, stand on the platform, and remove the canisters. Next, step off, and use the upper ledge to jump onto the raising platform, then quickly jump onto the left ledge to reach the area with the treasure chest. Reward: Shantytown Relic Map Chamber of Judgment Location: From the Windmill camp in Shantytown, travel to the eastern caves below the gondola station in the southern part of the town, and slide down the surface to reach the ledges across the gap. Follow the right passage after climbing up the ledge, and cross the wooden beam bridge to reach a narrow entrance to the tomb. Solution: Collect the yellow canisters around the tomb, and place them on the raised section of the seesaw to weigh it down. Jump to one, and use a rope arrow on the other. Use the raised seesaw to jump to the rock wall. Move along the rock wall using the climbing axe to reach a ladder. Climb the ladder to reach the area with the treasure chest. Reward: Shantytown GPS Cache Map Stormguard Sanctum Location: Travel to the Hunting Lodge camp in the Summit Forest, and go north beyond the bridge. There is a lamppost next to the tomb entrance. Solution: Use two fire arrows to set off explosives and gas to solve this puzzle. Explode the gas with a fire arrow, cross it, then destroy the explosive crates on the ledge to clear the pathway. Then, climb up the rock wall to reach the treasure chest. Reward: Summit Forest Relic Map Temple of the Handmaidens Location: At Shipwreck Beach, travel to the zipline north of the Survivor’s camp to reach a barricade blocking the way to a bunker. Use the Rope Ascender to break the barricade, and follow the path. Use rope arrows to continue into a cave leading to the tomb. Solution: Use the crank at the entrance to raise a platform and allow the buoy to move left. Climb the ledge left to follow the buoy as it releases a turning pole. Use it to jump the gap, then use a rope arrow on the white roped beam below. Wait for the buoy to move forward, and push the beam perpendicular with Lara. Once it lines up, jump to the bar to reach a rock wall using the Climbing Axe, allowing you to reach the area with the treasure chest. Reward: Shipwreck Beach GPS Cache Map The Flooded Vault Location: At Shipwreck Beach, the tomb is located on your way to the Cliffside Bunker. You will need the Climbing Axe, Prying Axe, and some rope arrows. Climb to the top of the bunker, and go through the narrow passage to reach the tomb entrance. Solution: Press the button up the stairs, then press the button beside the door near the entrance to enter the tomb. Inside the tomb, there is electricity surging through the water and a floating platform. Light the anchor rope on fire to release the floating platform, then shoot the wooden barrier on the right with the shotgun. Shoot a rope arrow through the new opening in the barrier at the platform to pull it closer. Pull the platform to the steps, then use rope arrows to pull the beam at the far end of the room, raising the generator and stopping the electricity in the water. Pull the generator up, jump right to the platform, pull the generator again, and continue through the water. Finally, pull up the generator, then pull the platform underneath the generator to make the water safe to cross, allowing you to reach the area containing the treasure chest. Reward: Shipwreck Beach Relic Map Treasure Map Locations Search the indicated locations to find all 14 treasure maps. The treasure maps will reveal the location of all relics, GPS caches, and documents on the in-game world map. You will be able to set waypoints for every collectible. Additionally, buying the “Cartography” (Tier III survival) skill will automatically unlock all treasure map locations on the world map. Note: Some of the treasure maps are a reward for completing optional tombs. Coastal Forest On the eastern area of the map, there is a dilapidated bridge near a waterfall. To reach the waterfall, look for a rock ledge with a wooden plank. Jump from the plank to the beam on the bridge to reach another wooden platform on a tree. A treasure map is on the crate. Mountain Temple After climbing up a ladder and facing a large dilapidated building, take the left path to reach a waterfall. Jump into the water at the base of the waterfall to find a secret cave, which leads into a hidden alcove with a treasure map on a crate. Base Exterior At the Radio Tower camp, use the zipline to go east to reach the building below. You will land near a burning trash can, and a treasure map is behind it. Mountain Village Locate and successfully complete the Tomb Of The Unworthy optional tomb to get a treasure map. Locate and successfully complete the Halls Of Ascension optional tomb to get a treasure map. Shantytown Locate and successfully complete the Well Of Tears optional tomb to get a treasure map. Locate and successfully complete the Chamber Of Judgement optional tomb to get a treasure map. Shipwreck Beach Locate and successfully complete the Temple Of The Handmaiden optional tomb to get a treasure map. Locate and successfully complete The Flooded Vault optional tomb to get a treasure map. Geothermal Caverns At the Catacombs camp, go north to reach wooden beams and a cage. Climb the beams and bars above the cage, and keep going up to reach a hidden platform. A treasure map is nearby. Cliffside Bunker Go to this area once you have the Rope Ascender, and return to the room with the big cannon and breakable barrier inside. Use the Rope Ascender to break through the wall. Continue through the wall to find a treasure map. Summit Forest Locate and successfully complete the Stormguard Sanctum optional tomb to get a treasure map. Research Base This treasure map can only be reached once Lara drops the elevator. On the first level of the base, go through the holes in the wall to reach tracks leading to a striped turn-table device. Go past this circle, and look on some nearby crates to find a treasure map. Chasm Shrine Progress through this area until reaching a large room with a pendulum in the center. Climb the wooden walkways, ramps, and rungs to reach the top level. After climbing up to the wooden ledge, look to the right for a table with the final treasure map. Challenge Collectibles Search the indicated locations in the videos below to find all collectible locations for all 13 challenges. Each challenge requires you to find some collectibles. There are just 4-10 collectibles per challenge. After completing the story, you will enter Free Roam mode, where you can still complete all of the challenges. Every time you obtain one of the collectibles, the game will automatically save. Complete all challenges to get the “Inconceivable!” achievement. Ghost Hunter Challenge Collectibles (All Totem Locations) Coordinates: [712344; 3416061] - Start by the first base camp in the forest (Sheltered Ridge), the one where Lara made a fire in order to hide from the storm. Head west again, down the narrow pathway along the cliffside. Stop as soon as she stands upright. You'll find the Totem when you turn left, hanging from a tree branch. Same as with other collectibles from this group, you need to destroy it, preferably with a bow (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712363; 3416062] - Hanging from a tree in the southern part of the forest (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712355; 3416065] - Hanging from a tree in the southern part of the forest (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712351; 3416078] - Hanging from the same tree you climbed to get the makeshift bow (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712367; 3416074] - Hanging from the rocks in the southern part of the forest. Its exact location is under one of the collapsed trees you can use to move between the rock ledges (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712384; 3416113] - Hanging under the destroyed bridge over the river in the northern part of the forest (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712375; 3416112] - Hanging under the primary (left) bridge over the river in the northern part of the forest (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712376; 3416115] - Hanging from a tree in the northern part of the forest, near the primary (left) bridge over the river (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712364; 3416119] - Hanging from a wooden structure in the northern part of the forest. Go west of the ruins (the ones examined by Whitman) to reach an altar. Go upstairs and look up (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712390; 3416125] - Hanging from a wall in the northern part of the forest. It's located in the ruins (the ones examined by Whitman), to the right of the gate you open as part of an objective (reward: 150 XP). Pyromaniac Challenge Collectibles (All Lantern Locations) Coordinates: [712429; 3416144] - Inside the first building you come across in the eastern part of the mountain. You can aim at it from a distance (i.e. from around the ladder) or go to the first floor. Regardless of the location, the bow is the best choice when it comes to destroying it (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712433; 3416148] - Hanging above the campsite (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712429; 3416159] - In the northern part of the mountain, near the area where you fought off two guards. Make your way to the back of the building, walking either over a tree or along the cliffside. The Lantern is attached to the roof (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712435; 3416155] - In the large building with enemies inside; destroying it is required to proceed to the final area of the temple (Mountain Rendezvous) (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712436; 3416145] - Hanging from the building in the easternmost area of the mountain, the one you reach after sliding down the zipline (reward: 150 XP). Egg Poacher Challenge Collectibles (All Egg Locations) Coordinates: [712458; 3416172] - On the roof of the main building in the village. The easiest way to get there is by jumping from the ledges to the west (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712470; 3416197] - In the area with waterfalls and guards, on the roof of the hut on the left that has been guarded by two men. First, get to the upper floor and locate an interactive ledge Lara can grab onto. Climb up and find a crate you can use the scramble up in order to reach the roof. The Egg is right there (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712463; 3416153] - On the hill located south of the main area of the village. You can reach it only after getting back from the radio tower - by sliding down the zip-line or going down the path created by the wreckage of the plane. Find the right hut and climb up its roof. You'll find the Egg right there (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712509; 3416201] - In the northeastern part of the Mountain Village, in the area which you first visit on your way to the blue smoke signal. Have a look at the lower ledges and you'll find a collapsed three you can walk over. Approach the edge of the shelf and you'll find what you're looking for (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712510; 3416187] - In the northeastern part of the Mountain Village, in the area which you first visit on your way to the blue smoke signal. Make a rope bridge to get across to the larger ledge which is the closest to the signal. Once there, locate a spot from which you can drop down. Examine the lower parts of the ledge to find the Egg (reward: 150 XP). Illumination Challenge Collectibles (All Statue Locations) Coordinates: [712470; 3416161] - North-west of the base camp where Lara has found the seriously wounded Roth (Village Plateau). You practically stumble upon it right before reaching the buildings. Illumination Statues require lighting them, so ignite your torch first (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712472; 3416201] - In the area with waterfalls and guards, on a higher ledge to the left. Scramble up the opposite one, on the right; you'll find a lantern to light your torch with. With it, head west, jumping twice when needed. Approach and light the Statue (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712464; 3416188] - On the hill north of the main area of the village. You can reach it shortly after getting back from the radio tower. Since you have the fire striker now (hold the action button), you don't need to look for sources of fire (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712481; 3416184] - On a small ledge northeast of the main area of the village. You can get there only after getting back from the radio tower, once you slide down the zip-line. When Lara hits the ground, go inside the northern hut and face the adjoining ledge. Jump over to it and use the torch to light the Statue (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712454; 3416151] - On the hill located south of the main area of the village. You can reach it only after getting back from the radio tower - by sliding down the zip-line or going down the path created by the wreckage of the plane. Locate a wall you can scramble up (you need to bounce off it). Climb to the top, then approach and light the Statue (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712488; 3416194] - In the northeastern part of the Mountain Village, on your way to the smoke signal (after getting back from the radio tower). When you reach the area with two guards, turn left and enter a small cave. Approach and light the Statue inside (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712501; 3416186] - In the northeastern part of the Mountain Village, in the area which you first visit on your way to the blue smoke signal. Work your way to the higher ledge located west of the signal. Light the Statue with your torch (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712508; 3416203] - In the northeastern part of the Mountain Village, in the area which you first visit on your way to the blue smoke signal. Make a rope bridge to get across to one of the northern ledges. When you find the right one, approach and light the Statue (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712521; 3416191] - In the northeastern part of the Mountain Village which you can find only on your way back from the monastery while passing through the lower levels. Stop at the Mountain Descent base camp. Go left of the destroyed bridge. Jump into the river and swim towards the waterfall. The Statue is on the left; use the torch on it (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712498; 3416184] - In the northeastern part of the Mountain Village which you can find only on your way back from the monastery while passing through the lower levels. Stop at the Mountain Descent base camp. Go left of the destroyed bridge and shoot a rope arrow to create a rope bridge. Use it, then take the path towards the nearby hill. Approach the edge, leap over to the wooden structure in front, and from there reach the adjacent ledge. Go straight ahead and you'll find the Statue; light it with the torch (reward: 150 XP). Non-Believer Challenge Collectibles (All Banner Locations) Coordinates: [712443; 3416287] - In the room to the left of where you run into two guards standing next to an explosive barrel. The Banner has to be ignited, so look around for a burning barrel in order to light your torch (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712457; 3416286] - In the large room Lara enters after killing the single guard and squeezing through a hole in the wall. To ignite the Banner, use one of the oil lamps (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712458; 3416298] - In the room with the wounded enemy that Lara takes the submachine gun from. Same as before, you first need to light your torch, but luckily, after the gas explosion the game unlocks a passage to one of the initial rooms in the bunker where you can find a burning barrel (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712432; 3416299] - In a sideway area of the large room in which Lara has been ambushed. Same with the previous banner, you need to backtrack to the beginning of the bunker and use the fire from the burning barrel (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712433; 3416288] - On the wall in the communications room (you'll find a burning barrel in the nearby corridor) (reward: 150 XP). Laid to Rest Challenge Collectibles (All Effigy Locations) Coordinates: [712593; 3416081] - In the northern area of the town, near one of the eastern edges. Climb to the roofs of the surrounding buildings and stop in front of the Effigy. Same as with other collectibles in this group, there are two things for you to do. First, shoot a fire arrow to ignite it. Once the fire burns most of it, shoot a rope arrow at the indicated spot to destroy the effigy altogether (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712584; 3416068] - In the northern part of the town, near the gate Lara has to open to reach the southern area. Climb the rooftops and stop in front of the Effigy. Set it on fire first (fire arrow), then destroy it (rope arrow) (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712571; 3416098] - In the northern area of the town, below the Helicopter Hill base camp (near the rescue helicopter). Set it on fire first (fire arrow), then destroy it (rope arrow) (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712590; 3416048] - Near the passageway connecting the northern and southern parts of the town, in the area with a large water tank near the Ancient Gate base camp. Set it on fire the usual way (fire arrow), then destroy it (rope arrow) (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712600; 3416027] - In the southern part of the town, by the tower on top of which Grim's had been hiding. Set it on fire (fire arrow), then destroy it (rope arrow) (reward: 150 XP). Silencer Challenge Collectibles (All Alarm Locations) Coordinates: [712564; 3416087] - On one of the higher floors of the building located south of the Helicopter Hill base camp. Locate interactive ledges in order to reach the upper gallery. When you find the Alarm siren, use the axe to destroy it (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712596; 3416035] - On the roof of the hut adjacent to the tower near which Lara took a stand against an enemy attack. Use the ladder or create a rope bridge to get to it. Destroy the Alarm siren with the axe (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712589; 3416050] - On the roof of one of the metal structures located in the southern area of the town; the best moment to reach it is when you're on your way to Grim's location. Find a small ramp off which you can bounce. The Alarm siren has been placed by the edge; use the axe to destroy it (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712602; 3416052] - In the southern part of the town, southwest of the windmill. Start at its foot, then take the path towards the inner gallery. Turn right and use the axe to destroy the Alarm siren (reward: 150 XP). Firestarter Challenge Collectibles (All Sack Locations) Coordinates: [712686; 3416011] - In the section where you first encounter savages. Scare them away and examine the ceiling; use fire arrows to set the Sack on fire (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712676; 3416010] - In the section where you first encounter savages. Scare them away and locate the corridor to the southwest, then quickly run through the gas mist to prevent any serious health loss. Watch out for a savage that is going to attack you (shoot him with the bow or kill him with the climbing axe). Keep walking until you reach a ledge. Climb up and look up to locate and ignite the Sack (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712683; 3416021] - In the section where you first encounter savages. Scare them away and take one of two corridors leading north. When you reach the area with cages, look up and burn the Sack (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712707; 3416019] - At the barricade which separates the third and fourth sections of the caves, near the spot where two guards had been stationed. Light the Sack the usual way (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712706; 3416026] - In the third section of the caves. Examine the ceiling and shoot another fire arrow (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712697; 3416031] - In the fourth section, above the altar at which guards had been praying. Light it with a fire arrow (reward: 150 XP). Red Cap Roundup Challenge Collectibles (All Mushroom Locations) Coordinates: [712605; 3415994] - In the western part of the marshes, near the helicopter wreckage (reward: 10 XP). Check out the area to the south and you'll find the Mushroom behind one of the trees (reward: 10 XP). Mine Sweeper Challenge Collectibles (All Mine Locations) Coordinates: [712491; 3415989] - On the beach in the north-western area of Shipwreck Beach. Step a few steps back and detonate the Mine with any firearm (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712491; 3415970] - Along the shore in the north-western part of the beach, not far from the bridge between the northern and the southern areas. Detonate it from a safe distance (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712467; 3415960] - Floating in water in the north-western part of Shipwreck Beach; detonate it while standing on the pier when you're on your way to the wreckage of the galleon (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712466; 3415948] - Floating in water in the north-western part of Shipwreck Beach; detonate it while standing on the pier when you're on your way to the wreckage of the galleon. Stop in front of a ladder. Ignore it for now and instead stand at the edge of the pier. You can see the Mine to your right (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712481; 3415945] - Floating in water in the north-western part of Shipwreck Beach; detonate it right after sliding down the zip-line on your way to the wreckage of the galleon (reward: 10 XP). Cairn Raider Challenge Collectibles (All Cairn Locations) Coordinates: [712469; 3416008] - In the north-western part of the beach, near the spot where you begin the exploration of Shipwreck Beach. Locate a small water pool with two buoys floating on the surface, drop down, and shoot a rope arrow to pull one of them towards you. Position the buoy right underneath the interactive wall. Scramble up the rocks and leap over the buoy. Leap again, this time with the assistance of the climbing axe, to grab onto the interactive wall. Finally, make your way to the top ledge. Approach and examine the Cairn (reward: 5 XP). Coordinates: [712471; 3415995] - In the north-western part of the beach, near the survivors' camp. Make your way to a small hill and examine the Cairn (reward: 5 XP). Coordinates: [712483; 3415992] - In the north-western part of the beach. Examine the path between the starting point and the first base camp and you'll find rocks to the east, together with a narrow pathway. Go up the path, climbing when needed. When you get to the top, approach and examine the Cairn (reward: 5 XP). Coordinates: [712503; 3415950] - In the southeastern part of the beach, along the path behind the lighthouse (reward: 5 XP). Coordinates: [712522; 3415950] - On a high shelf in the southeastern area of Shipwreck Beach. The first time you get there is by sliding down the zip-line from the lighthouse. Take the sideway path along the cliffside. You should find the Cairn in no time (reward: 150 XP). Previous Inhabitants Challenge Collectibles (All Flag Locations) Coordinates: [712509; 3415925] - In the gun room, as soon as you enter the bunker. Coordinates: [712544; 3415931] - On the wall of the bunker, high up on the third level. Coordinates: [712563; 3415931] - On the roof of the bunker. Coordinates: [712565; 3415938] - From the roof of the bunker, look up toward the radio tower. Sun Killer Challenge Collectibles (All Totem Locations) Coordinates: [712454; 3416052] - The totem you're looking for can be found in the first phase of exploring the location Research Base, specifically after Lara gets through the narrow crack. Stop at the place with the lamp and use zoom and survival instinct to locate a secret hanging nearby. Use bow or any firearm to destroy the totem (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712458; 3416049] - The totem you're looking for can be found right after getting to the room with a camp. Explore the right part of this room, finding a door that can be opened with the axe. After opening the door go to the edge, turn right, and then aim at the totem hanging from the ceiling (reward: 10 XP). Coordinates: [712457; 3416047] - The totem you're looking for can be found right after getting to the room with a camp. Explore the right part of this room, finding a door that can be opened with the axe. After opening the door approach the edge and zoom in to locate the totem visible in a distance (reward: 10 XP).
