Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow – Cheats & Unlockables

Here are all the guides, tips, and strategies to enjoy playing Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow with cheats and unlockables.

Unlockables

Added Dialogue

If 100% of the souls are collected, additional dialogue appears in the game’s ending. Soma and Mina talk about how the experience changed Soma.

Boss Rush

Beat the game once and get the good ending.

Boss Rush Rewards

Finish Boss Rush in the following time limits to unveil secret items.

Under 4 minutes: Valmanway
Between 4 and 5 minutes: Positron Rifle
Between 5 and 6 minutes: Excalibur
Over 6 minutes: Potion

Chaos Ring

Collect 100% of the souls in the game. After doing so, the Chaos Ring is found in the Chaotic Realm, in a room next to the one with one Alastor and one Erinys. The Ring allows you to have infinite MP, but you must still have enough maximum MP to cast/use something.

Endings

Best: Before fighting Graham, equip the Flame Demon, Succubus, and Giant Bat souls. After you defeat him, You’ll be able to enter the black mist door and fight two more bosses. Beat both to receive the best ending. This also unlocks Sound Test and Boss Rush Mode.
Good: Before fighting Graham, equip the Flame Demon, Succubus and Giant Bat souls. After you defeat him, You’ll be able to enter the black mist door and fight two more bosses. Beat the first one, but lose to the second, you should then get the good ending. This also unlocks Boss Rush Mode.
Bad: Defeat Graham, but don’t collect or equip the Flame demon, Succubus and Giant Bat souls. You’ll get the bad ending.
Worst: Lose to Chaos and get the worst ending.

Hard Mode

Beat the game once and get the good ending.

Hard Mode Items

Death’s Robe

Play on Hard Mode. Located in the Clock Tower, western side of the middle section. Giant Bat Soul required.

Death’s Sickle

Play on Hard Mode. Located in the Clock Tower, in the hall between Death’s boss room and the save room. Giant Bat Soul required.

Kaiser Knuckle

Play on Hard Mode. Located in a hidden room in the area above the Study save room.

Silver Gun

Play on Hard Mode. Located in the Arena, in the room just past the entrance.

Tear of Blood

Play on Hard Mode. Located on the Top Floor, in the upper right corner of the stairs room before the Throne Room.

Play as Julius Belmont

After beating the game with the good ending, enter “Julius” as your name. After the intro, you should be playing as Julius Belmont.

Play as Julius Belmont (Boss Rush Mode)

Beat the game using Julius Belmont, then select the clear game file you have with him when you start the Boss Rush.

Soul Eater Ring

Beat Death, then return to Hammer’s Shop.

Sound Test Mode

Beat the game with the good ending. The sound test will now appear on the main menu.

Cheats

Action Replay Codes

The game is fun by itself, but cheating makes it better. Always be sure to input codes using an Action Replay. All of the below codes are compatible with most emulators.

Note: before entering cheats, be aware that altering the game can cause random freezing and several other glitches.
