When playing Baldur’s Gate 3, some gamers have reported getting stuck with a top-down camera view and are searching for ways to fix it. Due to the fact that this is a turn-based RPG, the inability to view your surroundings properly could result in walking into a trap or getting ambushed.
This game provides you with multiple camera controls to enjoy the experience. However, it seems as though the use of tactical mode is what triggers people to get stuck in the Bird’s eye camera view.
How to Fix Baldur’s Gate 3 Camera Stuck In Top Down View
There is a good chance that your camera is stuck in the top-down view when playing Baldur’s Gate 3 due to a change in key bind for the option Toggle Tactical Camera. By default, the 0-key on your keyboard allows you to enter to exit the view. You can reset or change the key bind by going into settings.
- Press ESC, then go to Options.
- Navigate to the Keybinds tab and scroll down.
- Search for the option Toggle Tactical Camera.
- Click on the key bind and change it back to 0 or another key of your choice not currently in use.
- Go back to the game, press the new key bind, and you should be able to get out of the top-down view from Tactical Camera mode.
This is the most likely cause of the issue, but if not, check out the other solutions below.
