Mike Ybarra, President of Blizzard Entertainment who took over the reins of the company from J. Allen Brack, believes players have “no patience” in their constant demand for new content.
In an interview with The Verge, Ybarra discussed Blizzard’s efforts to provide players with what they want while balancing business and a desire for quality.

Ybarra said, “[players] want new stuff every day, every hour. We’re trying to react that way while holding the Blizzard quality bar high. We know players want new content literally almost every single day. At the same time, it takes large teams to be able to deliver that.”
The President of Blizard also continued to speak about the company’s effort to ensure players do not feel taken advantage of when it comes to value for their money. He said, “I always tell the teams, ‘When someone spends one dollar or a penny with Blizzard, I want them to feel good after they do that. How do we get to a world where we know that’s always going to be the basis of what we’re doing?”
Recently, Blizzard was acquired by Microsoft in a $68.7 billion acquisition. Fortunately, the CEO of Microsoft Gaming Phil Spencer has given the developers the freedom to run themselves like the independent studio they were founded as.
