Baldur’s Gate 3 – Should You Drink Formula Gruna?

In this guide, you will learn whether or not you should drink Formula Gruna while playing Baldur’s Gate 3.

During Act 2, inside the Moonrise Towers, you will encounter Araj Oblodra, who offers you a mysterious potion called Formula Gruna. She claims that drinking this potion will allow you to explode when your blood comes into contact with fire.

Should You Drink Formula Gruna in BG3?

Although it may seem enticing to have explosives in your bloodstream, there are downsides. For example, you give up control when explosions will happen. This means that when you take damage in combat and bleed on the ground, stray fires could trigger an untimely blast that hurts your own party.

The explosions only do minor damage to enemies but have the chance to set unwelcome fires.

There are better combat options available than to jeopardize your own safety. Spells, consumables, and weapons deal significant damage without the unpredictable element of exploding blood. Therefore, you should decline Araj’s offer.

While instability may sound appealing, relying on volatile insides is a gamble not worth taking when a victory can be achieved through more stable means.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is a role-playing game developed by Larion Studios and released in 2023 for PC, macOS, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
