Baldur’s Gate 3 – All Time-Sensitive Quests

Certain quests must be completed by a deadline. This guide lists all time-sensitive quests organized by act and location in Baldur's Gate 3. All Act 1 Time-Sensitive Quests in BG3 Druid Grove Save Arabella Kagha will kill Arabella if she is not saved in time. Druid Grove Ritual After entering the Druid Grove, you have about 3-10 Long Rests before the ritual completes and the druids drive out the tieflings. Raid the Druid Grove Speak to Minthara to start the raid. After a single Long Rest, the raid will begin, and any quests you still had in the grove will be ineligible for completion. Save the Goblin Sazza If you break Halsin out or attack the Druid Grove, Sazza will die. Bugbear Assassin If you don't help the tiefling girl by the telescope who is about to be assassinated when you get in close proximity, she will die. Investigate the Beach Upon initiating the quest, you must intervene to save the child tiefling on the beach. Wilderness Owlbear Momma After entering the Owlbear save, kill the Owlbear mother prior to taking a Long Rest, or the goblins will do it first. True Souls Edowin, Andrick, and Bryanna Once you get into proximity with these three, you must interact with them to trigger the quest before taking a Long Rest. Risen Road Find the Missing Shipment The guards will be killed by knolls if you get into proximity of the quest and take a Long Rest. Rescue the Trapped Man and Rescue the Grand Duke Upon starting the quest, you must rescue everyone in the inn that's burning or else they will die. Blighted Village The Gnome on a Windmill If you trigger the quest, you must save the Gnome else they disappear after some time. Mountain Pass Lae'zel Confronts the Githyanki Follow Lae'zel after she leaves the party to confront the Githyanki. Otherwise, she dies. Underdark Cure the Poisoned Gnome Thulla will die if you do not heal hear or offer an antidote after an undisclosed number of Long Rests. Grymforge Free True Soul Nere You must clear the rubble within a few camp visits or one Long Rest in order to protect Nere and the other trapped gnomes, Companion Quests Karlach Help Karlach kill her pursuers before an unknown amount of Long Rests. Otherwise, she will leave your party. Gale is a Lil Hungry Feed Gale magic items lest he resorts to other means of consuming them after a few Long Rests. All Act 2 Time-Sensitive Quests in BG3 Shadow-Cursed Lands The Harpers Ambush Kar'niss You have to join the Harpies once they leave for the ambush after a Long Rest. Otherwise, the quest will fail to trigger and you will be unable to get the moonlantern. Don't Let Rolan Die If you get into proximity of this quest, you must save Rolan from the shadows attacking him, or else he will die. Lift the Shadow Curse When Halsin goes to rescue Thaniel from the Shadowfell, you must aid him or else he will die if you take a Long Rest. Moonrise Towers Rescue Wulbren and Rescue the Tieflings Once you enter the Shadowfell to find Nightsong, you must rescue everyone in the prison or else they will die. All Act 3 Time-Sensitive Quests in BG3 Rivington Help the Devilish Ox You must deal with the Strange Ox prior to entering the Lower City or taking some Long Rests. Otherwise, it will disappear. Wyrm's Rock Save Counsellor Florrick Upon your discovery of Counsellor Florrick's execution, you must save her within five Long Rests. Lower City Investigate the Murders Once you enter the Lower City and take several Long Rests, you must warn Cora at the wine festival about the murders. Stop the Presses This quest must be completed before taking a Long Rest. Otherwise, your reputation will be tarnished and you will be unable to prevent Baldur's Mouth from publishing a story about you. Save Duke Ravenguard When you dock at the Iron Throne prison, you have approximately five to eight combat turns before the prison explodes. Companion Quests Rescue Orin's Victim After a certain number of Long Rests, you must save one of your companions from Orin before they die. The High Harper You need to go inside the Harper Hideout in Wyrm's Crossing and take a Long Rest before the location becomes unavailable.
